NCWP @ Digital Is

Teacher-Consultants from the Norther California Writing Project have played a central role at Digital Is, a website of resources for teachers interested in teaching literacy in a technology-rich environment. Digital Is is a collaborative effort of the National Writing Project and the MacArthur Foundation’s Digital Media and Learning Initiative. The name of the site derives from an acknowledgment that our culture has taken a turn to the digital, and debates about whether computer-mediated instruction belongs in schools should simply be seen as moot because, well, digital is. The website welcomes contributions from teachers who have success stories to share, but also welcomes provocations about the interactions of technology and education.
